The smooth Stephen Flurry makes his mark
The smooth and suave (but very dangerous!) Stephen Flurry who's daddy is Gerald of Philedelphia Church of God fame is promoting his new book Raising the Ruins another pro-HWA book (but at least he goes after Joe Jr. I'll give 'em credit for that!). He even has a website promoting with the book with three videos of himself in an interview about the legal battle of obtaining legal rights for Mystery of the Ages (and other historic WCG literature), an excerpt of a sermon saying he was proud of his uprbringing in the historic WCG and a commercial promoting his book. For those who think we can destroy Armstrongism in 5-10 years think again. Yes, Rod's church may be going under crisis (but isn't that the story of all XCG's and c'mon, they ALL thrive on crisis) but the battle against Armstrongism is a MARATHON NOT A SPRINT! Believe you me this battle will also take decades, not a single decade. I could even see emerging a great competition between Stephen Flurry (if he becomes PG of the PCG) and David Pack (and his RCG). Couple that with biblical ignorance in Christiendom (thanks to the excesses of the modern charismatic movement and anti-intellectualism in American evangelical Christianity), the battle against Armstrongism is NOT dying, it is just warming up.
Just don't try to post any negative reviews at Amazon.com because they will be deleted.
Stephen Flurry may be slick and charismatic with Daddy dingo's religion, but it's the same dysfunctional packaged sewage of the cult of gods and the PCG [piggy church] is still one of the big bad guys who persecute their own membership. Just because Stevie the wonder may lambast Little Joe Tkrap doesn't mean that it isn't a case of the pot calling the marijuana green. It just means that the block of cement will become the corner stone of their religion.
And by the way, he doesn't mention the fact that the PCG stole the materials from the WCG and shamelessly plagiarized them. What's the ethics and honor of that? Why should they be so proud of breaking the Commandments and committing Idolatry?

I clicked on your link to the "Raising the Ruins" home page -- and two WARNINGS about computer code errors came up on the page.
Hmmm -- coincidence?

The book is being excerpted in "The Trumpet" -- and chapter 4 is in the January issue, currently online.
After reading it tonight, I'm amazed by how much trouble the Flurrys went through to trash the Tkaches -- tracking down "lies" and deceptions, all the way down to Tkach Sr's birth certificate.
They had to go through all that to get the copyrights to Herbert Armstrong books?! It's like putting the details of a nasty divorce in book form. If I really want that, I'll watch Dr. Phil.
It's awfully tempting to turn the finger-pointing at the Tkach credentials back around on the Flurrys. But you know -- Mr. Tkach Jr. doesn't seem interested (at least for now) in doing that. Either he's moving on, he's showing Christian love, or a little of both.
