Intelligent quote of the day
The WCG really botched the changes, in such a way that it leads me to believe that they had absolutely no interest in the welfare of their members. If they had done it right, they would have enlisted the help of outside therapists and had them waiting in the wings for anyone who wanted them, the power structure would have been dissolved, the organization would have been dissolved, the money would be distributed to programs to help the "displaced members". Not only that, but they would have issued a full apology.Instead, they just sprung it on the members and told them "this is how it is, deal with it".While the WCG did the right things for the wrong reason in implementing the changes, they completely botched them.

Let's see now: The WCG was founded by a psychopath. Then a psychopath ascended through the ranks to become a psychopathic leader when the psychopath prime died. Then, even before seven years up, that psychopath died and left the WCG to his son, who, if he is not a psychopath [and given his activities and doubletalk / doublethink probably is] is at least contaminated beyond redemption by his psychopathic father.
No one can grow up with such anger and hatred in a home, faced with a father openly wife swapping and otherwise committing heinous acts while pretending to be "the widow's elder" without being really off.
As for that matter, GTA could never have been sound or trusted with a cult which was rife with unredeemable unrighteousness because of the way he was forced to grow up: Abandoned by his father, knowing that his brother was always favored and finally finding out what his father did to his sister. Add to that the alcoholism of the entire family and you have an unmitigated disaster.
No one should expect an organization which has been founded and run by a psychopath to be Christian.
People are puzzled by the behavior they see because they have not come to terms with the idea that the leaders were and are evil and very wicked -- even by lax human standards. They expect silk out of sow's ears and pure water out of a poisoned well.
It is never going to happen. The world of the psychopath is games. Not fun and games, just games. Psychopaths push the limits to see if they can indeed achieve their goals, and most of the time they do.
As an outside example, a psychopath last year got a County to spend $1.3 million on a security system without a contract, request for proposal, project, plan, maintenance, support, due process. There is at least $10 million left to go and no project plan or contract in sight -- in spite of laws and rules to the contrary -- and without one shred of competition. They fired the psychopath because they found him exploring porn at work at the Internet, but they are still stuck with the bills and the nightmare.
Hopefully, some will be able to utilize the analogy here: There is no such thing as a Christian narcissist and any organization founded by a narcissist or psychopath is not going to produce anything but terrible results. By the fruit you shall know them. The thorns and poisons cannot be transmogrified into the fruit of the Spirit: It just cannot be done.
Jesus warned us: Beware of false prophets; beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. People came to the WCG and tried desperately to make it all work and got burned trying.
Perhaps the WCG is and has been a biological phenomenon to clear out the shallow end of the gene pool. Maybe the grand plan is spiritual natural selection by subjecting people to a narcissistic false prophet to insure "survival of the fittest" and kill off those who will never be able to comprehend the love of Christ.
Certainly, at minimum, the venue of Satan the Devil has served to separate the sheep from the goats and the tares from the wheat. It is instructive that there is very little left of the empire built by a psychopath.
